Is there anything better than warm chocolate chip cookies straight out of the oven? The great news is that by swapping butter and sugar for alternatives in this recipe you can enjoy how yummy these are without completely falling off the dieting wagon. With 40% less calories, 56% less fat, 73% reduced saturated fat, and 64% less sugar, these are a great way to enjoy a favourite (in moderation) without eating a whole meals worth of calories in one cookie!

Ingredients
150g extra light margarine
1/2 cup Splenda
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg
1 3/4 cups plain flour
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Method
Pre-heat the oven to 160 degrees.
Beat together margarine, splenda, and vanilla essence for 1-2 mins, then add egg and beat for another minute.
Gradually add in flour, mixing as you go (don’t add all at once), then stir in chocolate chips.
On two baking trays, spoon out ten cookies per tray spacing evenly apart in balls.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden. Cool on a wire rack.
